Είμαστε ένα fashion brand από τη – όπως προδίδει το όνομά μας – Σύρο, Κυκλάδες.
Το νησί της Σύρου ονομαζόταν αρχικά “Osura” και πήρε το όνομά του από τη φοινικική λέξη “sur” που σημαίνει “βραχώδης”. Η λέξη “Franca” έρχεται να συμπληρώσει ιδανικά το brand name μας προς τιμήν του – παγκοσμίου φήμης – ντόπιου καλλιτέχνη και πατριάρχη της Ρεμπέτικης μουσικής, Μάρκου Βαμβακάρη και του τραγουδιού του, Φραγκοσυριανή.
We are a fashion brand from – as our name betrays – Syros Island in Cyclades, Greece.
Syros island was firstly called “Osura” and was named after the Phoenician word “sur” which means “craggy”. The word “Franca” comes to perfectly complete our brand name in honour to our – world famous – local artist and patriarch of Rembetiko music, Markos Vamvakaris and his song Frangosyriani.
